Description
The goal of this workshop is to provide an overview of the current state of research in mathematical and computational neuroscience both to those already working in the field and to those who are considering moving into it. The workshop will focus on neural networks and their properties. Several major themes will be addressed: (1) Oscillations, (2) Waves, (3) Synchrony, (4) Maps, (5) Visual Cortex Dynamics, and (6) Information Processing. This workshop is supported by: National Institute of Mental Health National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke National Institute of Biological Imaging and Bioengineering National Institute on Drug Abuse

Students, recent Ph.D.'s, women, and members of underrepresented minorities are particularly encouraged to apply. Funding awards are typically made 6 weeks before the workshop begins. Requests received after the funding deadline are considered only if additional funds become available.
