mean transform over the spheres with the centers
lying on the surfaces of certain polyhedra and polygons
(b) fast reconstruction algorithms for the circular/
spherical acquisition geometry, and for a certain
acquisition scheme with integrating linear detectors
(c) reconstruction techniques for measurements made
from open surfaces (or, in 2D, open curves)
